I’m Cheryl, a native Milwaukeean currently living in Chicago, who teaches high school history out in the northern burbs. I originally started out blogging in the summer of 2011 at, Everyday A New Adventure over at Typepad. It was a way for me to keep in touch with family, continue writing something that didn’t look like a lesson plan, and a way to force my man-friend and I to discover new and interesting things about this great big city. It was a lot of fun and I hope to continue the summer-time adventures on Kimball & Clyde come June.
Kimball & Clyde was hatched one of those lovely summer nights and then over time, with the start of a new school year and job responsibilities, was forgotten. With a New Year resolution to write more and an opportunity to join the Sew Weekly‘s community of contributors. The Kimball & Clyde was back! So welcome and thanks for reading!
Kimball & Clyde is a hybrid Lifestyle/Style blog that focuses on my sewing and crafty projects, adventures in Chicago, attempts to make my home more cozy, and my
sometimes always futile attempts to be a stylish teacher without looking like I’m fresh out of college. My non-sewing/crafting hobbies include martial arts, reading, tattoos, and trying to cook, so there will likely be some of that from time to time as well.
Thanks for stopping by!
